Oh wow, I’m very flattered by that, :red: you made my day. :dance:
I don’t really know what to say other then thank you so much.

There have been a ton of awesome entries for the coloring contests.
And not just the winners either.

It’s always so cool, to see the many different ideas, that people get, for the line art.

Anyway thank you again. :hug:

Oookay, I'd be afraid to walk into your bathroom too!! :grin:

No, seriously, very cool work, WR.

Eso wrote:Actually, I drew the outlines in Illustrator, pasted them in photoshop, colored them white, made multiple copies, blured a few, added some transparent blue fabric, and airbrushed alittle for a halo effect. Hmm, radioactive isotopes sounded better, huh?

I think that illustrator is probably slightly more practical than radioactive isotopes. I quite like my non-glowing-green skintone thankee ^_~

I'll have to try experimenting with Illustrator this summer, I hadn't though of using it for outlining *lightbulb moment* Although that would make tremendous amounts of sense.

Hehe! That's so hilariously creepy ^^ I love what you've done with the frame and all the details like the bubbles, and the shell ear is teh awesomeness :thumb:

I guess I'll submit something, I think I've submitted for a CAA contest only once before, but this is kinda an old picture, and not creative. ^///^;

Yes, very, very cool Kaze! Er..but I think there's been some confusion ^^;

So, how's it going for everybody? The deadline is looming in a week as of tomorrow, I'll definitely be trying to get my colored version of the linework in shortly after Wednesday. Until then though, I'm looking at one too many shifts at work and an Art History final on Wednesday O_o

But then I'm free! Well, good luck to everyone ^^

Ack, so I highly doubt I'll have my submission in on time. XD I've been super busy, and I have to do a portrait of my grandparents for their 60th anniversary, so I don't think I'll have time to get a submission in by this weekend. Sorry; I was really looking forward to coloring it this month! I'll check in again next month, though! :thumb:

Aw. That's too bad Vernhal, but I can definitely see how that other project took up so much of your time. The entry still looks quite pretty though ^^

Very cool entry Angel37! I really like how you've invested a symbolic meaning into it and taken a less literal route. It's a really nice design and it's very interesting to read the words and then study the picture. Nicely done! ^_^

Well, it's practically midnight (local time) and it's the 25th, so I think the contest is having to draw to a close really quickly here. And as usual my version is the last of the last and not quite completed *swats self for bad time management skills or complete lack thereof* Anyhoo, I'll probably need a day or two to judge and possibly consult others, this one is seeming pretty tight.

Excellent work everyone! :grin:

Well, after a day of pondering, getting confuzzled and agonizing over the decision, I think I've finally reached a decision regarding the results.
The winners are...*drum roll*

For 'Best Technical Submission'

White Raven!

Eso and White Raven were pretty much neck-in-neck for this category, but I couldn't help going 'dude!' at the sheer amount of details in the merman picture O.O

For 'Most Creative Submission'

Shao Feng-Li!

I really liked Shao's abstract approach to the image. I loved the hair and the skin tone and markings are working well together. Moreover, the colours are awesomely trippy ^^

Congrats! And a huge thank you to all who entered, it was awesome to see the different interpretations :thumb:

Next up: the July Edition! *plots*

Wow I must say I’m surprised that you reached the decision so quickly.
I think we had a really awesome month this time.
All of the entries were so different O.O I didn’t envy your position at all.
I know I could have never picked just two.

I am greatly honored that you chose mine as one of the winners. *does little dance*

And thanks to everyone who worked hard and made this month so fun.
YOU DID OUTSTANDING PEEPS!
