OOC- wow. That from Daj? Wow.......*collapses in a dead faint* hehehehe
Amica Song
She stared at his outstretched hand a moment, thinking. So...apparently they would both be sticking around. A part of her decided maybe that was just as well. She would surely mess this up on her own. Of course, they'd probably mess it up too, but at least she wouldn't be singularly blamed for any mistakes. That and...the thought of the spirits hanging around bothered her. She didn't like the thought of having at least eight different people in her hand.
"Truce," she agreed quietly, taking the hand. She hefted the book a moment, then said, "My first question. There being three of us, how are we going to...work with this? Are we going to share the book around or what?" She smiled faintly as she hefted it again; it actually wasn't that heavy. "And one last thing, before we rejoin the festival. How the heck are we going to stay in contact once this time is over?"

He breathed out heavily, grateful to be back in the book. He glanced around, feeling a new, living vibe between the pages, instead of the encroaching darkness of the void. There was life here now.
Sighing softly, he turned to the other spirits. "What do you think?" he asked finally. "Can they do it? They've already proved they can't even stand being near each other."
"They have been thrust from a normal life into what many would call madness," Domain said. He shook his head. "I say give them time, and they have the potential."
Celcium shrugged. "Whatever, I think they'll do great."

The endless fields stretched before him, a sea of green stretching from horizon to horizon. And there, the mountains just visible in the distance. It was beautiful, a breathtaking sight to behold. The moonlight cast gentle rays, giving the whole world an enchanted feeling, a beauty to be preserved and cherished forever.
Yet, to these views his eyes only paused briefly over, restless gaze flickering, seeking something else. The view was passed over, neglected, and he trod without care on the green sea.
The monolith. Its presence filled his mind, and questions and memories roved his worn mind, tired from a journey none but he had ever made. Restless he paced back and forth, his eyes finally locked on the proud stone that seemed to cast its shadow farther than should be possible, like it wanted to overshadow everything around it.
His hands clenched into fists as he contemplated that thought. Overshadowing. Swallowing up everything it could in shadow. Answers, where were the answers?
The book was worthless. Anything it contained he had extracted a long time ago. No, it contained no answer.
But the monolith. What about the grand stone that appeared every time, along with the strange book? What if it contained what he needed?
Slowly, becoming increasingly aware of his agitated state, he forced himself to breath deeply, evenly, and calm himself. Yes, the moment was finally here, but he had to handle it correctly, lest he fail again.
The chosen seemed in no hurry to move, even now that the spirits were gone. Considering them a moment, he turned and started for the wagons of the Johand. First and foremost, he needed some new information. As one of the few gatherings of every tribe, this was the best place to start.
"Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." Psalm 25:4-5
"Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles." Psalm 25: 16-22
Thank you. Have a good day.
