Star Wars changes

The second they announce a timer to the release of the star wars dvds im bringing in the catapults full of mud and waiting.Furthermore wouldn't it just be easier to look fondly on our memories and just remember that in the modern world we live in awesomeness is a vanishing substance. What we need is something to break the mold of remakes and adaptions(In all senses)Before we end up with something like twihard friendly star wars...and so help me God first sign of the end of days should they ever decide to do that.Furthermore IF THEY DO im moving to a third world slum where tv doesn't exist.

But that already happened.

@Yuki.

That clip what is this I don't even. So hilariously awkward. Not to mention the incredibly weak slap at the end.

Yeah, I saw George C Scott's reaction to the changes. I don't blame him for crying over them.

Oh, you guys. That clip is from Manos: The Hands of Fate, generally agreed to be the worst film of all time. MST3k riffed it, and it was GLORIOUS.

More chainsawsuit fun!

The best part though is the comments where Kris encouraged people to envision how Lucas would change other classics. Here are some results:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind re-edited so that events occur within chronological order.

nobody referred to edward norton by name in fight club, so now his name is Dave Roopis.

Batman and Batman Returns: added nipples to the batsuit, to ensure nipple continuity.

Citizen Kane re-cut: "My childhood sled..."

The Fugitive- Digitally gave the one-armed man his extra arm

The Usual Suspects is too ambiguous, added in extra scene where Keyser Soze dramatically reveals his identity and his master plan to the police.

John Carpenter's The Thing: CGI'd T-Shirts onto characters that say "MONSTER" and "NOT THE MONSTER"

In Pulp Fiction, Vincent shoots Marvin only after Marvin shoots first.

Batman's parents are now shot to death with a walkie talkie.

Re-edit Bruce Willis gunshot death scene in Sixth Sense to make it clearer that he died at the beginning.

All guns in all WWII movies are replaced walkie-talkies, with all battles being decided by spirited debate. each time a man shoots a gun, it's replaced with him shouting "do you agree?!" each time a man is shot, the bloodspray is digitally removed and his voice dubbed in to exclaim "you convinced me and i'm sleepy"

Planet of the Apes, Boxed Set: Movies now correctly labeled 1 through 5. Also, dilapidated sign reading "Liberty Island (NY, USA)" digitally added to foreground at the end of the first film. beneath that "this sign is millions of years old now"

Batman's parents are now shot to death with a walkie talkie.

Wouldn't that be a change Speilburg would make? He made ET, not Lucas.

Some of those suggestions sound more like something 4kids would do to an anime ^^
Jessie and James, together forever!

AAML forever!

Colorado is EVIL!! Save me!!

Eternal Defender of Tracey Sketchit. If you are a Brock lover, beware ^_^

"Like the moon over
the day, my genius and brawn
are lost on these fools"-Bowser, Super Mario RPG

Confused about the meaning of the screen name??

Lol.

Also, they just announced the Lucas is releasing a special, special edition of The Fellowship of the Ring, where in the intro Ian Holm's young Bilbo has been replaced by Martin Freeman.

I misread that as Morgan Freeman and didn't see what the problem was.

I misread that as Morgan Freeman too, probably because he's more famous and can make anything awesome. Not that Martin Freeman is bad, he's very good, just not as good.

Just remember folks, no matter what Lucas does, there's no way he can top the worst thing he was ever responsible for:
Star Wars Holiday Special
He can deny all he wants, but he had a hand in that.
Also, Howard the Duck.
Let's pray he never goes back to Willow.

Don't forget the part where Gandalf is dubbed to say "Don't worry about me, I'll come back to life to help you out later!"

And everyone in the Shire is digitally replaced with Ewoks.
