This is a super-subpar anime. I wish I had never watched it. Three stars out of ten. I am so depressed they picked it up.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes got licensed.

http://twitpic.com/a46yhb
http://twitpic.com/a46yzm

In France.

My French is not good enough to determine whether that's 59€ per volume or for the entire thing but either way, it's better than the $1100 preorder that the production committee was asking for before.

Obviously, French is not English, but the fact that these things are leaving the shores of Glorious Nippon gives a spark of hope.

If it gets subbed in English, then I must buy it. Personally, I would love to see Legend of the Galactic Heroes licensed with the Imperials speaking subbed German. It'd be like watching the anime version of The Longest Day then.

Beat you to it by a few posts. But on Funi's site, the ad I saw September 4th, so there seems to be some confusion about that.

If you guys want to get anything from Bandai Entertainment, do it now. They announced yesterday that they are making their last shipments to retailers at the end of November, and will end their home video and print catalog on March 1, 2013.

The big titles you should be picking up?
5 Centimeters Per Second
Cowboy Bebop
Code Geass
Eureka Seven
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
K-On
Any of the Gundam series they licensed
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Sword of the Stranger
Towards The Terra
Wolf's Rain

but this is by far not all that they have.

DiscoTek picks up Thermae Romae and GTO.

I get the GTO, but who will pay up for three episodes of TR? Admittedly, I really liked it, but still.
