Yup! It's Caz the CAA panda!

Um, I hope this is ok. XD
Yeah, basically- his sweatshirt can be any color, really- It depends on you Ashely. I was sort of thinking that in each section of the forum, he would be in each place. For example, in the Jam Session, it could be him with his trumpet... or in the Gamers Galore it could be him playing a video game. XD


Anyway, yeah. He's a panda because he kind of represents all of Asia. And Asia tends to produce most of the good anime and videogames and such. XP And his sweatshirt has a cross on it to represent well, obviously, God. XD

But yeah. Again, I hope this is ok Ashely.

I was thinking that we should just make a character, be it cool or cute; detailed or simple, and then have 'fan art' of the character in different styles to fit our needs. :3

I actually drew this picture a month or two ago, and I wasn't really trying to draw it. It just came to me, and when I was done, I instantly thought "CAA!". o.o

Man, I love the entries so far -they're both so cute! =^_^= I'm looking forward to seeing more, and hopefully getting some of my own in.
And yes, if possible, I'll try to make some cool/cute characters, Fishy. They might straddle the gap between the two, or just be one or the other.
On the other hand, there's always the CAA mech. ^^

Chibiphonebooth asked me if I wanted to work with her on an entry...so we decided to make panda twins for this contest! (So I AM NOT COPYING! KTHX)

Her character, of course you guys have already seen. CAZ!!! He is soo cute right?!

Well Chibi and I decided that he needed a sister too. So we are each entering these little pandas on their own, and we are both going to come up with one entry with both of them together. They are TWINS! and not easily seperated amiright? It's been a fun project!! I am enjoying working with Savvy and making Caz's sister. Thanks for asking me, Savvyyy!

Well, technically there's nothing grammatically incorrect in the poster. It's worded a liiiittle awkwardly, but really, it's fine. XD The only grammatical error here is...

"Corrie", not "Corey". XDDD

Just a thought, perhaps we can come up with a cast of characters and we can alternate them (or people can select which ones shows up on their home! Just like they choose between CAA Lite and regular CAA.). That way we could represent everyone's genres of interest, just as their are different genres of anime (so like an action character, a shojo character, etc.).

Cuz I wouldn't want to force (or scare away) people who don't want cutesy things as the mascot on the page....

For example, myself being a (large) 21 year old male whose anime interests are primarily Trigun/Cowboy Bebop/FMA/Last Exile style animes, it would feel awkward checking CAA at a campus terminal if there were cute little animals and like things (no pink, please, I pray fervently for no pink).

Unfortunately I lack the artistic talent to represent my own interests. I'm not saying that cute little animals wouldn't make good mascots....for someone....but it's just not me, in any way whatsoever and I felt like I should represent my interests in some way. So even if we can't do my first suggestion, if we can make it so you can select if the mascot shows when you login I would be happy no matter what is chosen.

I think skins that let users choose how they want the site to look sounds like a great idea. There will likely still be an "official" mascot, but there's nothing that says we can't have multiple splash pages.

I also think that cute can still be cool...but we don't want a scary mascot either..

I think A LOT of males like cute...I mean what's wrong with cute? O_o a lot of mascots are cute...especially in Anime... O_o

Cute is fine and all but like crossalchemist said, logging on in public would be kinda awkward if the mascot is a carebear or something.
