Well, it's finally happened. The idea that I've had swimming around in my head for years now has finally made it's way to the internet. I now have a blog where I can post anime reviews.

I know it's not anything special, and at present, I only have my introductory post up, but I plan on writing reviews for shows and movies that I have in my collection and shows that I've seen on the internet. It's called "The Cajun Samurai" and I hope you guys stop by to give it a look!

Oh, before I forget, the first show I will be reviewing is the "Aria" series. Look forward to it!

Sure! I'm open to the random suggestion here or there. My first review on "Aria" should be up by Tomorrow or Friday.

Then I'd suggest you review Outlaw Star since I know you have it. Also I'm curious how different the dub of Ghost Stories is from the sub if possible.

I'll be waiting for your reviews! I'd like some more diversity in my anime, since I don't get to watch a whole lot....SO, I can't wait to see what you can do!

"Ghost Stories" huh? Oh heck yeah, the ADV dub is way, way, WAY different from the sub...and it will be so much fun to review too...

...darn it all...I originally had "Mushi-Shi" lined up for the next review, but...GAH!!! That's it! I'll make "Ghost Stories" the next show on my list!

You have NO idea how long it took me to think of that name! I wanted something that would express who I am and also to express my love of Japanese culture. I went through several different names before settling on "Cajun Samurai".

You and me both. I'll try hard not to disappoint!

You know, when I saw the name, I don't know why, but I got this image in my head of you looking like Mace Windu and holding a katana.
Which, would be awesome btw.

A while back, That Dude (Or as I like to call him, "Dude Who is That") did a sketch of me as a samurai that I absolutely love:

http://fav.me/d1rd96k

I only just remembered it when I was trying to think of a name for the blog.

Oh, speaking of]http://thecajunsamurai.wordpress.com/

BTW, here's a list of all the DVD's in my collection. Of course, there are shows that I have seen that I currently do not own like "Usagi Drop", "Highschool of the Dead" (yet) and "Sket Dance",
so if you would like to make a recommendation, your best bet would be to pull from this list.

Hey man just thought I'd let you know I am really looking forward to your EVA reviews. I really like the series as controversial as it is. Also I suggest if you haven't view rahxephon afterwords seeing as both series a pretty similar in a few ways.

Thanks a bunch man! I'm looking forward to writing out the Eva reviews myself. It's going to be a challenge, but I think it's going to be worthwhile! November is "Evangelion" month, so look out for it!

Oh, before I forget, my newest review, "A Review of 'Mushi-Shi' - Ten Thousand Miles and Walking" is posted! Check it out when you get a chance guys!

So you're finally blogging? Great! I'm really enjoying your blog. Your reviews are so thorough - they're not just reviews, they're also informational pieces about those anime. And you have a unique and fun viewpoint as well.

Just added you to my RSS reader and to our blog's blogroll. Keep the great posts comin'!

Hey, thanks a lot man! I really appreciate the support and the feedback! I hope to continue to come up with stuff to entertain and inform!

Oh, before I forget, I have a new post up! A little award thing I'm starting up called "Drew Threw It To You". Every so often, I’ll highlight a special person in the world of anime, either a voice actor, director, producer, or maybe even a character from an anime that rocks so hard that if Drew Brees threw a spiral to this person on 3rd down, they would not only convert, but they run it all the way to the end zone simply on the power of their own awesomeness! This week, I picked the first recipient. Check it out when you get a chance!

Also, I'll be posting an update on my Evangelion marathon and my thoughts so far! Keep on the lookout!

Good stuff.

Very thorough reviews, I tend to go for more action-y shows but I may look up Mushi-Shi at some point.

Looking forward to the Evangelion reviews, I'm curious to see what the fuss's about.

Added to my feeds list.

Thanks a lot! :XD: I could use all the support I can get and I appreciate each and every bit of it! I actually finished "Neon Genesis Evangelion" tonight, and am currently working on the review now. Hopefully I'll have it done by the end of the week...if I can just get my thoughts together! :fmed:

In the meantime, check out this most recent post in which I pay homage to the past:

Liked your review. And I agreed with everything you said. It's a shame Gainax can't please me all the time.

You can say that again. I'm still scratching my head somewhat at "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water"...but I have to admit, Gainax has given me quite a bit of satisfaction anime-wise over the years.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I put up a few more interesting posts for ya! The first being a new "Drew Threw It To You" award winner, a few more reviews, an angry (Kinda) letter to the director, and a special Thanksgiving post! Links follow below:
