I'm kicking off a long running idea I've had in my head for a JRPG style video game series. I'm currently working on the first one via RPG Maker. If anyone is interested in checking it out, I have set up a special blog for it in which I'm going to be tracking the creation of the game, as well as posting a ton of backstory and character information.

It's sort of like a somewhat darker Final Fantasy with elements of an underlying Christian worldview. So if that sounds even slightly interesting to any of you, then check it out.

What version of RPG Maker?

XP. I have used RPG Maker 2000 in the past, and I felt that XP was the most similar and provided me with the most freedom compared to more recent makers.

XP is really good, although I like the battle sequence and higher customability of 2000.
