I know it originally has bad words but the other words are nice & I blanked the cursing out.
It's not mine but lyrics are a little like poetry, this song reflects my current emotions.

------------------

When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so ******* special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the **** am I doing here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I'm not around
You're so ******* special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the **** I'm doing here?
I don't belong here

She's running out the door
She's running out
She runs runs runs runs
Runs

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so very special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the **** am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here

I like the Scala version, and the trailer for "The Social Network" that introduced it to the world. Mostly the first part, where it had the montage of Facebook pictures. It just summed up the social networking phenomenon so well... At least, the pre-facebook moms social networking phenomenon.

I think this song resonates with a lot of people, especially digital natives like me. The kind of people that sought companionship from a glowing black box.

EDIT: Wiki has a definition of DIgital native that's much broader than mine. Theirs is basically anyone born after the '60s. Mine is people who have grown up with technology all their lives and got into the internet early (I started in 1995)... Basically people for whom the internet has been a significant part their life.
