In manga, there is usually a cute animal to provide comic relief and cuteness. So many mangas have them, even if they are very minor. So list the cute little animals of manga that are just too cute!:P
-Mokona from CLAMP: No one really knows what is flying bunny-like creature is, but it's got a big appetite!
-Akamaru from Naruto: Cute as a little puppy, then grows up into a handsome dog!
-Yuki (mouse form of course) from Fruits Basket: Very adorable little creature who needs someone to love.
-Lupin from Inubaka: Suguri's mutt Lupin is a goofy but cute dog who provides a lot of comedy for the series.
-Peach from Peach Fuzz: Ferrets are super cute, and it's nice to see a whole manga with them.

And I'd add just about everybody else's animal form (in regards to Fruits Basket)...
Also - Kero-chan from Cardcaptor Sakura! ^^ So kawaii!!!
And Artemis, Diana, and Luna from Sailor Moon...
With/Wiz from D.N.Angel! ^^
I'd add the guardian chara from Shugo Chara! too, but technically they aren't "animals"...
