good gosh. how could i forget one of my most favorite mangas?! you've got to try
20th Century Boys. it's like one of the best mangas ever. it's by the same author as monster. a little more fantasy-like. good stuff that manga.

It's pretty good, but the anime's better. The manga was done after (well, during and after) the anime, and written and drawn by the character designer (Sadamoto). So, no Anno.

I guess give Fullmetal Alchemist a read. The story is definitely better than the mess that was the second half of the anime. And as another fine member suggested, 20th Century Boys.

Agreement on Fullmetal Alchemist manga. I've yet to read 20th Century Boys, but I might just have to start up on it someday...

glad to know there's another 20th Century Boys fan here. the manga's flippin awesome and i, personally, think it is better than monster. maybe because it has more of a mysteriousness to it. or maybe because it's more fantasy-like. i dunno. but whatever. you have to read this manga. it ROCKS!
