I need help with a sketch...

Postby Vampi » Thu Apr 08, 2004 7:38 am

I finished this sketch not too long ago and now that I look at it, it seems very cult-ish. I want the impressions of other people. The fate of the picture depends on what I finally decide upon based on the "message" others see in it. PLEASE DON'T SAY IT LOOKS LIKE N-SYNC'S CD COVER, "NO STINGS ATTACHED"!!!

(This might aply to like...one person...but if understood, this sketch is a HUGE spoiler for our, Krescent Moon and I, webcomic, Last World....)

Hey did you know that it looks like N-SYNC'S CD cover, "No Strings Attached" XD hehehe Actually it doesn't look very cultish to me at all, cults usually have a load of symbols and stuff to depict who they are and what they do but I don't see any of that on your drawing. Great job I think its looks good!

It does look a bit cultish, kinda like the one guy on the top is controlling the other guy, who is controlling the puppets...or something...O.O LOL

I don't think it's cultish at all by anime standards. Your style is somewhat similar to mine, which means I like it, of course! ^^ I noticed some darker lines among the lighter ones especially on the human body parts...i.e. hands, face. A penciling issue perhaps?

Funny how the manipulator gets manipulated. Heh.

I don't know if this can completely be considered my style, because it's a slight conformity to Krescent's style. I don't know why I made the lines of the body parts darker than the clothing and hair...I suppose I was testing the effects of a paintbrush........

(actually, I didn't get enough paint on the brush when I started the female "elf's" hair which I didn't realize until halfway through her bangs. I liked the look and decided to use a light wet brush on all things "life-less" after that....)

I'll have to discuss with Kres whether or not to reveal what the symbolism is....
(which is, btw, political.....)

NUUUUUUUU! *shakes nead and waves hand* no no no no~ you, vampi, by all means will NOT reveal the concept behind the sketch (it's a big give-away....) *lurks back into the shadows*

I think you're confusing me with Krescent Moon. I don't really attach pictures to the Last World thread because majority of my pictures (for Last World) are rough sketches/drafts (like this one...). We don't want those leaking out.
