I love this series. It is so sweet and innocent. This manga follows the adventures of Maya Kurinoki, a 3rd year middle school student who is recruited as an ice skater by Coach Eiji Todo when, while skating for the very first time at a local rink, attempts a double axel and lands it. The coach then sets her to train for a pairs competition with a 2nd year high school student named Shun Kano, who is an ice skating prodigy. But when the owner of the rink grows ill, his son tries to close it. Now the only way to save their rink is for Maya and Shun to place in a pairs competition. Well written and very clean. The only reason I didn't like it was because it felt incomplete. I would recommend this manga to first timers as well as addicted manga fans. The art is not extremely unique, though very well done. |
