Boffo on Humansbane: As the Burning Crusade expansion approached for World of Warcraft, I knew I would be able to make it so I had one character in every class by having a Draenei Shaman. This meant that the Blood Elf I started would end up being a class I already had. I decided Hunters were the most enjoyable and different between the two factions. The idea of the name Humansbane comes from the plant Wolfsbane, which is rumored to be a repellent for Werewolves. Humansbane sees himself as the cure for the "disease" that is humanity.
This actually makes a fair amount of sense with the lore of WoW. Humans and Blood Elves were once allies, but the Human General sent to liaison with the Blood Elves was quite the bigot and kept sending them on suicide missions and wouldn't let them protect their people. They had to break away to protect themselves. Thus, the Alliance and the Blood Elves both see the other as betraying them.
Due to the similarities in appearance between Humansbane and my friend Xlorep's Blood Elf Paladin Elrena, we have decided they are siblings.
Humansbane's current pet is a quest mob named Eecheeyakee that I have renamed Gibber after a childhood pet. In his stables, Humansbane has another quest mob named Deathclaw that he snuck onto the Draenei starting area to capture and a Dragonhawk with the awe-inspiring name of Expendable.
