A wise man once told me not to criticize something if you couldn't do a better job yourself, so I've opened up some of my own works to the MiSTing community. Dirk Dangerous, Space Hero, Part I, Part II and Part III: Here's a piece where I get a little taste of what it's like to be MiSTed. The main part of this MiSTing, "Dirk Dangerous, Space Hero" was a little attempt I made at serialized fiction a while back. The basic plot: Rich industrialist Taurus Dracoon has been kidnapped. His daughter, Iridiscia hires space hero Dirk Dangerous to help free him. Unfortunately, this one was never finished. MiSTed by Shay Caron
Lines As-Q, part I: In response to a challenge over on alt.startrek.creative involving Star Trek characters getting revenge on fanfic authors, Stephen Ratliff wrote a fun little place where Marrissa visited him. Due to his MiSTing notoriety, he wrote a sequel where Marrissa visited again, swearing revenge on the authors who MiSTer her stories. I took that ball and ran with it. This is the first in a fanfiction series in which an alternate universe version of myself is transported into the Marrissaverse. In this part, Dave appears on the U.S.S. Endeavour, captained by Marrissa. Before anyone knows it, he's in a wrestling match. In the upcoming part, the Trakce attack, and it looks bad for both Dave and Marrissa. MiSTed by Alicia Ashby and Matthew Wayne Linkous
Out of Time: This is the second story in my self-insertion into the Marrissaverse. This one doesn't include Marrissa at all outside of mentions as Dave visits Deep Space Nine. However, he is quickly taken into custody by Temporal Investigations. Is this red tape or something a bit more sinister? A great feature of this MiSTing is the reaction of the MiSTing bots to the replica bots that Dave has with him. MiSTed by Bill Livingston, Matt Blackwell, Doug Gale, and TV's Fracis
